Dragon and Jack came to us and was said to be 10 to 15 years. They were in bad shape. The Vet said she did not think the fragile man that was wise with many years would make it much longer. She said their teeth had never been done, and most were now missing. Based on their teeth they were pushing 30 or well over 30 years wise!
Well with love and tender caring we were able to nurse his wounds and provide him with supplements to give him back strength and energy. We brought in a Farrier who worked on his clubfeet and within a few months he was running, bucking and even doing the donkey hump! Shortly there after he was adopted and brought to his forever home along with Dragon Donkey.
Dragon and Jack ran in bright lush green pasture, ate grain and basked in the warm sun by a big pond, and were loved by all. In summer of 2014 Jack crossed the rainbow bridge. The donkey that came to us knocking on death door, slammed it shut and lived for another year and a half. Dragon still roams the green grass and based on the way she plays, Jack Donkeys energy is still there with her. RIP Mr. Jack Donkey, we are glad you crossed our path. (Jack is white and Dragon is Brown)
